Capacitar 20th Anniversary Global Celebration

Members of the Capacitar global family will gather from July 20-23, 2008 at La Casa de Maria Retreat Center in Santa Barbara, CA USA to celebrate 20 years of Capacitar service to grassroots peoples. See flyer. (Español)

Projected presentations include: "Nonviolent Reconciliation and Forgiveness," "Ecofeminism," "Advocacy for Women's Rights," "Youth and Young Women," "Women and Development," "Popular Education to Empower Individuals and Communities," "Healing and Transforming Wounds and Trauma," and "Reclaiming Spirituality in a World of Conflict."

Anyone who has participated in Capacitar trainings and actively shares Capacitar practices is invited to apply.

The Celebration fee is $500 US and includes Celebration registration, 3 nights lodging, 9 meals, a Celebration bag, T-shirt, a Capacitar DVD and all materials.

Participants are responsible for their own transportation, visas, where necessary, and other personal expenses.
